I CAN HAS LAPTOP. Thank buggery. It is fantastically gimmicky, featuring touchybutton things for controlling audio which flash like a slightly pathetic disco when you power up, a silver keyboard (ie one you can see by the reflected light of the screen, thus minimising Typos In The Dark), and Ability To Function, which I consider quite important. And it is GREEN. (More Limeade WeeWee than Foresty Glen, as colours go, but still: green! It's sort of rubbery too. Wipe-clean for her pleasure?)

Now have comedy headphones with a bendy mike. It's all very Battle of the Planets. Am not at all listening to my salvaged iTunes while pretending to issue commands to Tiny.

Wish to write meta about the US Life on Mars with reference to Starsky and Hutch versus The Sweeney/The Professionals, but I accompanied viewing The Apprentice with wine, and suspect they will be somewhat rambly. Will get round to it.

No US Spaced: whee! But a film of Fraggle Rock is in development, apparently, with proper Henson people involved and everything. This makes me inordinately happy. (Uncle Travelling Matt was a Time Lord, y/y? I trust Mokey/Boober will dominate the internet come 2010, in any case.)

Anyone else using OpenOffice? Am finding it a bit fiddly, but think that's just minor learning curve issues. Does it really truly work ok when everyone you send attachments to is using Word?
