Time Crash

BELGIUM SPECS BEARD JOKE, OMG 'DECORATIVE VEGETABLE' HANDS-FREE SQUEAKY VOICE TIME PARADOX ALL MY LOVE L.I.N.D.A. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES

I did a sort of wonky dance when the credits had his name in. Ahem. And omg, the fucking music! with the segue from awful 80s synthy shit to ticketytickety Murray Gold: brilliantness.

Of course, there's a useless bit of my brain going 'hang on, given Tennant's age his Doctor is clearly Tom' - but fuck that bit of my brain with a canoe, quite frankly. FIVE IS THE BEST DOCTOR EVER, SAYS THE DOCTOR: tis official.

Actual new Five was just on my telly. Properly. With genuine 'in the middle of two episodes so we can properly say it's canon' gubbins.

Am just babbling now. Fivey Fivey Fivey yay.

Oh, and you just know he only asked about Nyssa and Tegan to check if he'd met Turlough yet. *nods*

Me too. I'm hopeless.

Aren't you supposed to be at the theatre?

It wasn't very good so I left at the interval.

DOCTORS!!! TWO OF THEM!

Oh and - Tennant's age, Tom should be his doctor - um. Isn't he like my age? Or a bit younger? How old is the Teninch? Cos Petey is MY DOCTOR and I thought Tennant was my age, so um... yeah.

From the Confidential thingy, he was saying Pete was the Doctor when he was 11. Which I suppose still makes it possible for him to be 'his' Doctor, but I recall from previous interviews Tennant talking lots about growing up on the Baker era and Sarah Jane being his fave companion and all of that.

Then again, there's interviews with Moffatt saying he always thought Pete was shit (and then retracting it later and saying he's now his favourite). So I suppose everything's ignorable. And it was supposed to be the Doctor saying it anyway.

I've confused myself now. Who cares? I still can't quite believe that it exists, it's so veru wondrous.

I watched Tom when I was a kid, and I loved Sarah Jane. Tom was that funny man with the eyes and the hair though, and I wasn't THAT into it. When he turned into Petey though, I was ten, and I was all *ooooooooh it's Tristan!* and I was SMITTEN and I just loved him and he was MINE etc. Maybe because I saw him from his first episode, not like with Four where he'd been there from before I was, if you see what I mean.

Tom scared the shit out of me when I was wee. And then Five appeared (I was 7) and he was 'mine' as opposed to being the old scary man my big sisters knew all about and had watched for ages, so I was extra-possessive. Plus he was all enfeebled in his first one, and apparently 7-year-old me was alarmingly fond of hurt/comfort. (I found it quite confusing that he was Tristan as well.)

So same thing as you, really: the one you saw from the very beginning, so you feel you know all about them. Bit bonkers given the nature of the character, but there we are.

I think you're right. Plus I'll qualify it to the FIRST one you saw from the beginning - cos I saw all the others from the beginning too, and although I adore Seven, and Nine is good, and Ten is my nearly-second-favourite, they are not MY DOCTORS.

*nods* Yes, indeed. The one that introduces you to it all. :)
