Back from holiday. Sense of sunkissed zen somewhat crumpled by 12 hours of travelling on succession of manky buses/planes/mankier buses. Have had cup of tea now, though. Mmm, tea.

Tell me stuff what has happened? I have been internetless for 10 days: given that in my absence British people seem to have become good at sport, I hardly dare imagine what LJ has been up to. Linkiness?

1. Apparently, we are kicking ass at the Olympics?

2. I had a big lump under my arm that the doctors all prodded a lot and agreed was shiny but ultimately just stuck a three-inch needle in to relieve my screaming agony. I then got tested for possible diabetes and came through clear. \o/

1. This bewilders me. WE ARE BRITAIN. OUR JOB IS TO BE NOBLY USELESS AT EVERYTHING. My Blitz spirit does not know what to do with gold medals.

It is quite nice being back, actually: there's tea and television and not having to try to speak Italian at people all day despite not knowing any Italian. And I have missed ye olde flist, indeed. *returns tacklehug*
