I did a sort of wonky dance when the credits had his name in. Ahem. And omg, the fucking music! with the segue from awful 80s synthy shit to ticketytickety Murray Gold: brilliantness.

Of course, there's a useless bit of my brain going 'hang on, given Tennant's age his Doctor is clearly Tom' - but fuck that bit of my brain with a canoe, quite frankly. FIVE IS THE BEST DOCTOR EVER, SAYS THE DOCTOR: tis official.

Actual new Five was just on my telly. Properly. With genuine 'in the middle of two episodes so we can properly say it's canon' gubbins.

Am just babbling now. Fivey Fivey Fivey yay.

Oh, and you just know he only asked about Nyssa and Tegan to check if he'd met Turlough yet. *nods*

Well, "your Doctor" is the one you watched, not so much who was on when you were alive. 'Cause I was born at the end of Tom's run, and was proper Who viewing age for Seven, but Nine is "my Doctor."

All true, indeed - and I vaguely recall Tom, despite Petey very much being my Doctor. But Tennant's gone on about how he grew up on the Baker era before now. It just jerked me out of the story a little bit (albeit only to go 'hurrah, Moffatt has written what he thinks and doesn't care, yay!').

That's interesting, 'cause I've always assumed Davison was Tennant's Doctor, due exactly to the stuff he mentions: the specs and the runners and stuff. But, mind, I obviously don't read much on Tennant, so I may very well be talking out my ass.

I dunno, maybe I'm just being manipulated by the press machine. He certainly fanboyed Lis Sladen like crazy and there was much talk of him hiding behind the sofa watching Tom etc - but maybe that was purely School Reunion-related. Age-wise, it seems to me he'd be in there with the RTD crowd of being diehard Four fen, but then again he's a proper nerd and loves them all.

In other words, I have no idea really. :)
