Oh wow! Can I snag 1 and 20 and the rather saucy 19?
*admires the fantastic icons more*
*has totally had too much caffine tonight*

Certainly you may. I'm afraid 19 and 20 both suffer a bit from being nice ideas rather than well-executed icons (grr at grainy old caps), but I can't resist a good tie-fiddle. (That's his 'I'm going off in the TARDIS now and you're not, ner-ner' face.)

mmmmmmmmcaffeine.

It's a fangirl's job to produce shonky screencapped icons (the screencaps are shonky, not the icons!) and crack!fic'n'art. What episode is the tie cap from? It totally looks like he's trying to take it off whilst giving someone a come-hither look

[identity profile] pontisbright.livejournal.com wrote:

The tie-fiddle is from the final scene of Frontios. He's smugly doing it up and reminding the silly humans not to tell anyone about the Doctor's visit (as for some inexplicable reason, the Doctor seems terribly worried about the Time Lords finding out about him poking his nose into this one - most odd). And I think come-hither is just one of Turlough's three expressions (the others being Pout and Sulk).

What diligent fangirls we are:D
[identity profile] spiritedchaos.livejournal.com wrote:

Ahh but you've forgotten the trusty WTF/insane/truly-terrified expression which is brought out for every stories' minute of Turlough insanity (tm).

Extremely diligent fangirls. We should be locked up for our own safety get medals.

Eek. I am doing the ginger love god down. Pouting, Sulking, Angsting, Frothing-at-the-mouth-insanity, Glee at holding the Doctor's hand, Girly squeaking fear at duckman, Smugness at Tegan, Guilty lurking, Unconsciousness...he's a versatile chap really:)

Medals, yes! And hats. Furry ones.
[identity profile] spiritedchaos.livejournal.com wrote:

Not that I'm knocking furry hats (as I think they're officially teh business) but can I have a gay boater hat instead. I'd wear it at a jaunty angle and be the envy of everyone.

I appear to be slightly naked

*snicker*

His expression in that icon is just perfect, too. sort of...earnest and "oops" and "how the smeg did this happen?"

Ahh, Doctor Tristan: all startlement and bashfulness and who me? 'All I wanted to do was have a bath and then there were dead people in cupboards!'
[identity profile] wishfulaces.livejournal.com wrote:
Mar. 20th, 2006 05:14 am (UTC)
Yes, but if Triss were to find dead bodies in cupboards, he would immediately go get drunk. (After all, he doesn't need many excuses.) Whereas the Doctor--protests his innocence by saying he's a time traveller. Because that always goes down well with the natives.

I nearly fell out of my chair when his defence to the policeman was 'Er...I'm a Time Lord.' Cos, um, no.

Having recently seen half the first series of All Creatures - omg yes! Never has so much booze been consumed in the name of vetinary science. I think I got pissed just watching it.

mmmTris. Really must procure more of the debauched choirboy...

There's a fantastic scene at the end of an ep in, I think, the third season where it's Triss' birthday. They got him a guitar and somebody--Helen or Mrs Hall?--knitted him a long, multi-colored scarf. The Who geek in me squealed a lot, but then, when I first saw that episode I was only twelve.
[identity profile] pontisbright.livejournal.com wrote:

Oh, bless. Birthday Tristan sounds rather lovely. And I will flail like an idiot over the scarf.

Squeee! #3 and #14 *snagged*. Poor Five and his fan girls...*looks unassuming* (Think he should look out for Aussies too, but that's just me)

As for fourteen? Me and the roommie were chatting about a post on [livejournal.com profile] time_and_chips which compared the fashion sense of Five and Ten. So then the roomie says "Does that make Rose his Tegan?" I *squeeeed* and hugged him. He was verra confused. *g So this icon? Is Love.

Hee! The headband was just too suggestive: couldn't resist. And how much fun would it have been to watch Tegan bossing Nine about? 'Stop whining! So your planet blew up and everyone's dead, blah blah. All the energy you spend on looking miserable could be spent on fixing the bloody TARDIS, you know' etc etc.

Aw, bless: I think Five/Nyssa need more love; no one ever seems to get round to shipping them properly. While I find her mildly irritating, I sort of let her off for being brilliant in Black Orchid, and building big vibrators. And I totally want her big fairy frock thingy.

*is girl*

Re: I should know this.
Unresolved Sexual Tension. (So you can be glad you're unacquainted with the term:) I have this theory that Turlough's perpetual tie-fiddling/coat-buttoning/general squirminess is all about the sexual frustration, yo.

Yay, slut!Nyssa! Have at it.

Exactly! Fine, so he's prone to attempting to kill the Doctor and occasional bouts of psychosis - but hey. who isn't? And he does work that uniform;)

(I have a quite silly number of Turlough icons: do help yourself.)

His questionable loyalties made him great! Nice foil for Davidson's soft-focus doctor.

5th Doctor/Tegan/Turlough sandwich!

And thank you! Shall definitely take a wander through the others - will credit all. : )
